GROUP MINIMUM NUMBERS
The Avoriaz Alpine Ski School is committed to the highest level of teaching within small group sizes. In the unlikely event that a group does not attain a minimum number as described for that group (adults min. 3, children and teenage groups min. 5) the school may decide to reduce the length of the course by one day to allow the course to run. The course content will be adapted accordingly by the instructor. There are no refunds for shorter courses. All bookings will be confirmed once our minimum numbers are reached.
Children's groups - whilst we only accept a max. of 8 children per group, during the course we may need to move children between levels. This usual is on a "exchange" basis with another group but very occasionally may mean there could be 9 in a group. This can be avoided by parents ensuring their child is at the correct level for the group and is only ever undertaken to avoid potentially stressful situations for the children concerned.
By booking with SARL Avoriaz Alpine Ski School I am aware that skiing/snowboarding is a hazardous sport that includes certain risks and dangers, including the risk of serious injury. I accept full responsibility for the risks inherent in skiing/snowboarding and the ski area/mountain environment. I agree to RELEASE and INDEMNIFY the Avoriaz Alpine Ski School and their employees, agents, contractors, officers, and owners, from all claims for any injury or damage resulting from any cause, including negligence, which arises out of my participation.
If I am booking on behalf of other parties and minors, I recognise that I may not release any claims the minor may have. However, I accept full responsibility for all medical expenses incurred as a result of the minor’s participation. I also agree to RELEASE and INDEMNIFY the Avoriaz Alpine Ski School and their employees, agents, contractors, officers, and owners for any claims brought by or on behalf of the minor. This release is also binding as to any other persons, including family members, heirs and executors, but does not apply to gross negligence or intentional acts.
CHILDREN under 12 must wear helmets and we recommend that children over 12 do so. Toddlers of 4 & 5 will need helmets once they are moving on the main piste. We reserve the right to ask a parent to take their child from their lesson if the child is inappropriately dressed, in ill health or not the correct level for the group. We cannot make refunds in these circumstances.
There are no refunds or make-up lessons if a student misses a class or postponement due to; late arrival, lift failure or weather. However, there may be unforeseen circumstances or conditions which will force the ski school to postpone or cancel a lesson or sessions. Your insurance should cover missed tuition due to lift failure or weather. Your claim would be against the local lift company for lift failure. If we are forced to cancel due to staff sickness, we will endeavour to schedule make-up lessons or refund tuition fees on a pro rata basis. TUITION does not include lift tickets, ski equipment, clothing or lunch and we are not liable for those costs. Lessons are non-transferable. Your instructor will wait 5mins for group lessons and 45mins for privates.
INCORRECT LEVEL FOR GROUP
We reserve the right to move clients from a group lesson if they do not meet the required standard or do not match the level stated in the information given at time of booking. If possible and providing there are available time slots and instructors we will provide private lessons to the monetary value of the balance remaining. Any additional fees will be due.
All students are required to have medical and accident insurance which covers skiing, snowboarding and off-piste. There are hazards involved in snowsports, as in all active sports, and accidents may happen.
I have read, understood and agree to the conditions and responsibilities as outlined in the Release of Liability Participation Agreement I accept my responsibility to ski/snowboard safely at all times.
