Off Piste adventures with tips, techniques and safety tuition

Join our experienced instructors for a multi-day off-piste clinic helping you  safely explore the mountains and improve your skills and knowledge of  backcountry skiing.
This is a 4 day performance clinic for advanced skiers . You must be competent on black runs and have a minimum of 8-10 weeks of skiing experience and be in good physical condition.
This course includes and introduction to ski-touring and you are not expected to have previous experience of this, although there will be plenty to learn even if you have been touring a few times before.
Powder Skiing - Finding fresh snow and making your own tracks is one of the greatest things planet earth has to offer. Learn how to enjoy it safely and in control, whilst practising the best techniques and improving your skiing and snowboarding
During the course our instructors will teach mountain safety skills and avalanche awareness knowledge. Safety equipment can be provided and  lessons will include tuition and practice of how it all works. The course will also include (but is not limited to):
  • Forecasting and planning
  • Group management
  • Snow pack analysis
  • Avalanche Bulletins
  • Navigation, line choice and route planning
  • Emergency procedures
This course is about expanding your playground - exploring the natural mountain away from the pistes and crowds. Off-piste skiing is often far more memorable, rewarding and fun than following ready prepared pistes. Safety is paramount for this, so join our fully licenced instructors with years of local knowledge to find the best areas at the best times.
Whilst much of the course will run in lift-accessed off-piste terrain, the course will include a ski touring or split boarding adventure. An introduction to ski touring equipment and skinning techniques is sure to get you well away from the crowds and have an unforgettable day exploring the untouched backcountry of the French & Swiss Alps.
We are teaming up with local ski  hire business to provide an equipment deal if necessary.
