ADULT GROUP MINIMUM NUMBERS

The Avoriaz Alpine Ski School is committed to the highest level of teaching within small group sizes. However, in the unlikely event that a group does not attain a minimum number of 3 attendees, the school may reduce the length of the course by one day to allow the course to run and the course content will be adapted accordingly by the instructor. All bookings will be confirmed once our minimum numbers are reached.

LIABILITY I am aware that skiing/snowboarding is a hazardous sport that includes certain risks and dangers, including the risk of serious injury. I accept full responsibility for the risks inherent in skiing/snowboarding and the ski area/mountain environment. I agree to RELEASE and INDEMNIFY the Avoriaz Alpine Ski School and their employees, agents, contractors, officers, and owners, from all claims for any injury or damage resulting from any cause, including negligence, which arises out of my participation.

If I am booking on behalf of other parties and minors, I recognise that I may not release any claims the minor may have. However, I accept full responsibility for all medical expenses incurred as a result of the minor’s participation. I also agree to RELEASE and INDEMNIFY the Avoriaz Alpine Ski School and their employees, agents, contractors, officers, and owners for any claims brought by or on behalf of the minor. This release is also binding as to any other persons, including family members, heirs and executors, but does not apply to gross negligence or intentional acts.

CHILDREN under 12 must wear helmets and we recommend that children over 12 do so. Toddlers of 4 & 5 will need helmets once they are moving on the main piste.  We reserve the right to ask a parent to take their child from their lesson if the child is inappropriately dressed, in ill health or not the correct level for the group. we cannot make refunds in these circumstances.

MISSED LESSONS - There are no refunds or make-up lessons if a student misses a class or postponement due to lift failure or weather. However, there may be unforeseen circumstances or conditions which will force the ski school to postpone or cancel a session or sessions. In the event of postponement due to lift failure or weather we will endeavor to schedule make-up lessons, this cannot be guaranteed. Your insurance should cover missed tuition due to lift failure or weather. Your claim would be against the local lift company for lift failure. If we are forced to cancel due to staff sickness, we will endeavor to schedule make-up lessons or refund tuition fees on a pro rata basis. TUITION does not include lift tickets, ski equipment, clothing or lunch. Lessons are non transferable. Your instructor will wait 5min for group lessons and 45min for privates.

MEDICAL INSURANCE - All students are required to have medical and accident insurance which covers skiing, snow boarding and off piste. There are hazards involved in snow sports, as in all active sports, and accidents may happen.

I have read, understood and agree to the conditions and responsibilities as outlined in the Release of Liability. Participation Agreement I accept my responsibility to ski/snow board safely at all times.
